In fact you could say I have finally taken my fathers advice, he is now 90 and has always said and practiced what he said "Son never retire, find what you like to do and re-tread not only will you have fun but you will probably make more money that when you were really working Well since retiring ( read retreading ) I have been able to expand my knowledge and passion for photography, both my wife and I are really into photography On a recent 3 week trip to Tasmania we did 4000 kilometers ( which in itself is hard to do in Tassie ) looking around the apple isle, and in the process took 8000 photos , yes that's 2 photos per kilometer. here are some of them Some would say we are more than passionate about photography. We had a trip of a lifetime, on Dec 12th 2007 we boarded the Orian out of Hobart on an expedition of 18 nights to Antarctica and back to Invercargil in New Zealand, so I am clearing the laptop of junk to make room for the photos we take along the way, I can only imagine how many as we travel through this wonderfully wilderness with its unique wild life and scenery If that's not enough to fill the laptop we will then spend 3 weeks touring New Zealand. In March 2008 we were fortunate to travel to the West Australian Kimberley on board True North, and joined Ken Duncan for the second photographic experience of a lifetime. In We traveled to Lake Eyre in May 2008 at it again had water, some great photo opps here to August 2009 we purchased a 4WD Prado in Sydney so flew across to pick it up and came home via the coast with the Great Ocean Rd as the main point March 2010 we went out on a Tag Along 4WD drive out around the remote South East coast of WA including Toolina Cove, Baxter Cliffs south east of Balladonia and around the coast to Isralite bay , Esperence , Hope Town , Bremmer Bay , The stirlings and home. May 2010 we go to spend a week at Yakabindie camping on the sheep station yhat I worked on as a 17 yo Jackaroo. September we are off to Canada and the USA planning to follow the fall colors down the East coast. On other photography we love macro, I got interested in water droplets a while ago so took a few, click here to see the result, How does this help you?
